People are getting the water types mixed up. Think of it like animals. There are "freshwater" and "saltwater" Pokémon. So keep things like Staryu, Shellder, Clamperl, Krabby, Corphish, Wailmer and Tentacool in the sea while keeping things like Magikarp, Goldeen, Remoraid, Carvanha, Psyduck and Marill in ponds.
